Easy Jewelry Organizer DIY

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but my Christmas crafting has already begun. I am preparing for the?Mission Viejo Holiday Gifts & Goodies Boutique where I will have a booth showcasing some of my homemade jewelry. My biggest hurdle was figuring out how to showcase the many necklaces I have made for the event. So, I knew I needed to get a little crafty, without spending too much money, to make jewelry display pieces.

Today?s DIY craft, I am showing you how to make your own jewelry organizer. I used just a few inexpensive materials and made a simple but beautiful display piece for my necklaces. I bought some inexpensive 8 1/2? x 11? frames at IKEA, and recently found a great deal on mini colored clothespins from The Plaid Barn. After pairing that with some colorful scrapbook paper and my handy glue gun, the easy jewelry organizer was born.

I first cut my colored scrapbook paper to size to fit into the frame. I wanted to pick something cheerful, but not something with so much pattern that it would distract from the necklaces. I then penciled in notches at 1? increments along the top. With a small dab of glue from my glue gun, I attached the mini clothespins.

That?s it! I had a jewelry organizer in less than 10 minutes!

This will work perfect for my Holiday Boutique booth, but I know when my tween comes home from school she will for sure claim it as her own for her dresser. This makes a great way to organize jewelry and fits nicely on top of a dresser. The best part is that you can customize the scrapbook paper in the frame to match your room decor.

Come see me in person on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 8 am ? 5 pm Mission Viejo Holiday Gifts & Goodies Boutique.

Happy Holidays and Happy Crafting!
