2005 Acura TSX - Customized "Platinum" - Presidential Automotive ...

This 2005 Acura TSX was purchased as a ?daily driver? in my clients arsenal of very clean Honda?s. It was bone stock only a couple weeks ago, but now has Buddy Club coil-overs and 19? wheels that really set the car off! The car looked great, but the paint was in pretty rough shape. It had several deep scratches and a handful of surface level scratches, along with the normal swirling and buffer trails from improper washing and the dealership ?prep? detail. Once my client got a good look at the paint, he couldnt bear it anymore and decided to have me come out. He keeps his cars very clean and does is own detail work, the work needed on the paint was just a little of out his comfort zone, so we decided to make up a custom paint correction only (No Wheels,Engine,Interior) package for him.

Paint Correction

After prepping the car to be polished, I set up the halogen lights to began the paint correction. Just about every side panel on the car had at least 1 deep scratch, some of them needed light wet sanding. The car is daily driven and I wanted to play it safe, so I didnt focus on 100% removal. I was able to get them about 90% removed, or atleast so that they were not visible to the naked eye.

Angola: Stampede kills 10 at religious gathering

JOHANNESBURG (AP) ? Angolan media say 10 people, including four children, have died in a stampede during a religious gathering at a sports stadium in Luanda, the Angolan capital.

Angop, the Angolan news agency, cited officials as saying Tuesday that 120 people were also injured. The incident happened on New Year's Eve when tens of thousands of people gathered at the stadium and panic ensued. Faustino Sebastiao, spokesman for the national firefighters department, says those who died were crushed and asphyxiated.

The event in the southern African nation was organized by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, an evangelical group founded in Brazil.

In western Africa, a crowd in Ivory Coast stampeded after leaving a New Year's fireworks show early Tuesday, killing 61 people and injuring more than 200.

The Democrats #1 Fear: Will Obama Cave On ... - Business Insider

AP

Democrats aren't thrilled that taxes are only rising on those making $400K and above, as they had hope to see a rise on those making $250K.

But it's a negotiation, and Obama didn't give up much else, and the "leverage" Obama was going to have once we went over the cliff was always overstated.

The big worry is not the deal per se, but that after failing to draw his line in the sand in this fight, he'll fail to live up to another promise, which is not fighting over the debt ceiling again.

This is shaping up to be a big standoff. Obama has flatly said he will not negotiate over raising the debt ceiling (i.e. honoring the nation's obligations). Republicans are spoiling for another 2011-like fight, and are calling it the big opportunity. They also think they have more leverage this time than they had over the Fiscal Cliff fight, since taxes aren't about to rise on 100% of taxpayers.

Here's Krugman, who was very hard initially on Obama as details of the deal came out, but moderated his tone a little bit:

So why the bad taste in progressives? mouths? It has less to do with where Obama ended up than with how he got there. He kept drawing lines in the sand, then erasing them and retreating to a new position. And his evident desire to have a deal before hitting the essentially innocuous fiscal cliff bodes very badly for the confrontation looming in a few weeks over the debt ceiling.

If Obama stands his ground in that confrontation, this deal won?t look bad in retrospect. If he doesn?t, yesterday will be seen as the day he began throwing away his presidency and the hopes of everyone who supported him.

And here's Dean Baker in The Guardian:

...President Obama insisted that he was going to stick to the $250,000 cut-off requiring that the top 2% of households, the big winners in the economy, go back to paying the Clinton era tax rates. He backed away from this commitment even in a context where he held most of the cards. We are now entering a new round of negotiations over extending the debt ceiling where the Republicans would appear to hold many of the cards.

While the consequences may not be as dire as the pundits claim, no one could think it would be a good idea to allow the debt ceiling to be reached and force the government into default. The Republicans intend to use this threat, however, to coerce further concessions from President Obama. The president insists that there will be no negotiations over the debt ceiling: no further concessions to protect the country's financial standing.

At this point, though, is there any reason for people to believe him?

And here's Jonathan Chait:

So what we have is two more showdowns in which the parties disagree not just on the outcome but even on the parameters of an outcome. Obama thinks the debt ceiling needs to be raised, full stop, without becoming a bargaining chip in a fight that threatens the stability of the global economy. Republicans want to use that chip. Then there?s the sequester, which Obama thinks should be replaced with spending cuts and tax revenue, and Republicans think should be replaced with spending cuts and more spending cuts.

If Obama makes it through both these events without either accepting draconian social policy or triggering an economic meltdown, then today?s compromise will be seen as a clever first step. That?s not what I expect. I expect instead that his willingness to bargain away his strongest leverage, and the central theme of his reelection, will make the next rounds harder, and embolden Republicans further. I suspect he will wish he had ripped off the Band-Aid all at once, holding firm on tax cuts and daring House Republicans to defy public opinion.

So there you go. Everyone's worried about another Obama cave in a fight where the GOP feels emboldened.

While Obama says he won't bargain on the debt ceiling, he HAS to bargain on the sequester (unless he wants the spending cuts to happen as is) so that's probably where he'll wiggle and end up in a bargain that would likely include the debt ceiling.

Meanwhile, at least on this battle, Obama knows he won >

The Single Life: Seven Dating Resolutions That Lead to Marriage ...

Recently, I made a resolution to break up with someone. Well, we weren?t technically together. He said we were dating, but our relationship didn?t exactly fit the definition. He was friendly, funny and fine, but beyond that, I didn?t think we had much in common. ?And for the first time, I lowered my expectations to avoid loneliness during the holidays. My friends encouraged me to ?keep it casual? and ?have fun?. After all, this was one of the first people I went out with after breaking up with my daughter?s dad. I followed their advice for the first few weeks, but as time ticked on, I started to set expectations and seek substance. It?s hard to ?keep it casual? when humans and feelings are involved. I didn?t see this man as ?marriage material,? but I still expected him to act like a future husband or perhaps just a boyfriend.

I know relationships develop overtime. Nonetheless, I wanted him to be something, someone he wasn?t. I wanted more than what he could give. And that wasn?t fair for either of us. So I told him I didn?t think we should pursue anything further. He said he was sorry I felt that way and wished me good luck?but not in a do well way, rather a good luck searching for someone in the club way. There are a lot more details to the story, but I won?t reveal too much information, because like I said, he is a cool person. He?s just not the person for me. In a reflective New Year?s Eve mood, I came up with dating resolutions to lead to marriage. I didn?t write a long list of what I was doing wrong as that could lead to depression,,, not empowerment. Instead, I focused on what I was doing right. We often look for a potential mate to possess a long list of qualities when we should first look within to make sure we?re marriage material.

?1. Become Spiritually Strong

Most of my friends and family members who have strong marriages also have strong spiritual foundations. God is at the center of their union, which anchors their marriage when a storm hits. Having a close relationship with God allows me to have close relationships with others. When I pray or study scriptures, I am more patient, more loving and more kind. Until I meet my mate, I can strive to be the Proverbs 31 woman. I can turn to the Bible instead of society to determine what marriage means and trust God to deliver a mate.

?2. Heal From Past Heartbreaks

After my daughter?s dad dumped me, I didn?t date anyone for a year and a half. I needed that time to heal from heartache, learn from mistakes and move on mentally. I refuse to take baggage packed with anger or envy into a new relationship. Also, I analyzed my other relationships. What went wrong? What went right? What did I learn from my experiences? What qualities do I want in a significant other? What won?t I tolerate? Although people don?t usually change, they can improve. Yes, some things are personality traits, habits you?ve developed over the years. But if you examine yourself, there may be negative behaviors you can work on.

?3. Love Me First

In order to love someone else, I love myself first. Sounds selfish but in reality, it?s the best wedding gift I can give my husband. He won?t be required to fill a void, because I don?t need to be half of a couple to be a complete person. Although I feel insecure at times, those times don?t last long. I am comfortable in my skin. Loving myself means I am less likely to be jealous, desperate or needy in a relationship. Often, I hear single women say, I can do bad by myself. I would like to change that and say, I can do good by myself.

?4. Be a Blushing Bridesmaid

More than 80% of my close friends are married. I?ve been a guest, a hostess or a bridesmaid at more than a dozen weddings over the past decade. I never envied the brides. I was always happy to be a part of their marital bliss. I spent hours helping to plan some of these events and the pre-party festivities, but they put in even more work after they jumped the broom. They?ve taught me what it takes to be a good wife and to build a happy home. And their husbands give great dating advice from a male?s perspective. I?ve also observed the marriages within my family as well. My parents recently celebrated their 45th anniversary, and before my grandparents passed away, they lived longer as husband and wife than they did as individuals. They married at 16 and lived well into their 80s. They are marriage mentors.

?5. Realize Not Everyone I Meet is My Husband

I try not to look at every man I meet as my future spouse. That?s a lot of pressure to put on someone and myself. I can like someone or even love someone, but that someone may not be my husband. I can?t force something to happen or rush into a relationship. In my thirties, I date differently. I don?t compromise my non-negotiables, my authentic self or my values. I developed views on children, religion, money, sex, commitment and divorce and seek someone with a similar marriage mindset.

?6. Determine Why I Want to Get Married

When the movie Why Did I Get Married? hit the silver screen, I was one of the first people in line to buy a ticket. At the time, marriage wasn?t on my mind. My ex was. I went to the prom with actor Lamman Rucker who played Troy, and when he appeared in the movie shirtless, I giggled at the women swooning in the audience. Lamman and I took public transportation to our first date and were more friends than lovers. Still, everyone asked why we weren?t together as if I would marry him just because he made it to Hollywood?leaving his bus pass behind I?m sure. The movie made me examine issues such as commitment, betrayal and forgiveness. And for the first time in my life, I began to determine why I wanted to get married. I want stability and security, for better or for worse. I want to be selfless and supportive. I want my strengths and weaknesses to balance someone else?s and vice versa. I want to love someone like 1 Corinthians 13 and get that love in return from my mate.

?7. Be Marriage Material

This is the toughest point of all. I had to honestly evaluate my life to find out if I was really marriage material. I must be kind, giving, compassionate, trustworthy, nurturing, respectful, discerning, discreet and God-fearing. Although I am independent, I don?t have a problem adopting traditional gender roles. I don?t mind cooking, cleaning and caring for the kids. I must admit that I don?t do this for every man I meet. But I can?t expect a man to do everything for me when I do nothing in return. Before I?m married or even engaged, I work to be financially and emotionally stable.

Hey BMWK family, what would you add to the list? What should someone do to become marriage material?

After a good pork and egg porridge breakfast opposite our Mit A Ree Hotel, we walked to the morning market and took the songthaew (B80pp) to Mae Samlaep, a river border village on the Thai side. We then hired a boat to take us upstream on the Salawin River for an hour which cost us B600 and if you wish to visit the village further up would be B1,300. We returned to Mae Sariang on the same songthaew at 12.30 pm and took a rest before walking out at 4.30pm to the Museum and two temples. We were surprised that the beautiful museum building has nothing to display and not in used. We had dinner at Inthira Rastaurant again.

Need To Save Money? Personal Finance Tips Are ... - PayDay loans

Posted by Admin on Jan 1, 2013 in PayDay Loan Blog | Comments Off

TIP! Avoid eating out in general and save a lot of money. Creating meals at home can save you hundreds of dollars every month.

Finances can get really messed up if they are not properly maintained. If you find yourself in this position, you must be willing to take the proper steps to regain control. The following information will show you the ways to organize your finances.

Savings Account

TIP! Credit card balances play a big role in your FICO score. The higher they are, the more it will negatively impact your score.

A way to save money would be to set up a withdrawal that?s automatic from your bank account, that goes into a savings account with high interest. At first it may seem uncomfortable, but soon it will become another monthly bill and the savings account will grow.

TIP! A good health insurance policy can save you from financial strife. Unfortunately, everyone falls ill at one time or another.

Don?t spend any money on get rich quick schemes. Many novice marketers succumb to this type of gimmick. Learning is good for business, but keep an eye on your bottom line. Remember to work productively more than you spend.

TIP! If you?re in any kind of debt, try paying them down after getting your tax refunds. Usually people will spend their tax refund money on something excessive, rather than using it to pay down bills.

All debt is not bad. Good debts are investments like real estate. Additionally, the considerable value of your home shows that you have solid collateral. The interest you pay on the loan for the property can be a tax deductible. If you have college loans, it is good debt. Student loans generally have lower interest rates are are not repaid back until students have completed their schooling.

TIP! Start saving for your child?s college education as early as possible ? at birth or even before. College can cost a lot of money, and if you only start saving when your child is a teen, you probably won?t have enough for their tuition fees.

You will need to pay off your debits before you can repair your credit. Do this by paying off your loan and credit card debts by making some cutbacks. Perhaps you can resolve to eat at home more often and stay in on the weekends. You will have to cut back your spending and sacrifice some things if you are serious about credit repair!

TIP! Ensure that you?re paying your monthly utility bills and rent on time. You can harm your credit rating by paying them late.

You can control your property by managing cash flow. Track the money you spend and the money you bring in, and review how your property is performing each month. You should have use a property budget so that you can compare your actual income and expenses to your projections.

TIP! Developing a budget you can stick to will help get your finances in order. You need to have a budget to help you change the way you spend your money.

It?s important for your broker to be someone you can rely on. Ask for references and be sure that your feel comfortable communicating with them. Tailor your broker choice to your experience level, as well.

You should open a savings account where you can sock away money to use in the event of an emergency. You should also save for specific goals.

TIP! With this recession, having multiple spending avenues makes sense. Put some of your money into traditional checking and savings accounts, but also invest some in stocks, accounts yielding higher interest, and even gold.

Think about getting foods from the store that are their brand. Much of the time, you cannot tell the difference. Most of the time, there are even the exact same ingredients in both. Don?t shy away from these foods because they don?t have marketing muscle behind them. Giving them a try could save you 15% on your grocery bill.

TIP! If you do not like balancing your checkbook manually, then you can do it online. Most banks offer an online banking service to their customers.

Make organizing your finances an everyday effort. Put together a file where all of your important documents like insurance paperwork, property tax payments, and receipts so that they will be in one place at tax time.

TIP! If you?d like to be in a good financial situation, it?s important to pay off your bills right away each month. You will have a clear idea of how much of your budget you can allocate to spending and saving if you pay early.

If you need to, use several different banking accounts to arrange your budget in. Set aside money for fixed expenses in one account and another for expenses that change each month. It will assist you in keeping good track of how your money is spent, which entails making sure you can cover all of your bills.

TIP! Even small things can make a difference in your personal finances. Make your own coffee at home instead of getting one at the local cafe.

Try to avoid making common mistakes related to your personal finances. One bounced check may be forgiven by your bank. If you talk them, they may waive the overdraft fee. This request is normally granted one time.

Make some extra money by having a yard sale. You can even sell items for neighbors on consignment. Get creative with your garage sale.

TIP! If you are shopping for a mortgage, make sure your credit score is in the range of at least 740. The better your credit score, the better interest rate you will receive.

Be aware of your finances by making detailed arrangements for your financial stability. With a goal in mind and a plan for reaching it, you have a yardstick to use in evaluating potential expenses and a source of motivation to work harder.

TIP! Don?t throw out old junk before taking a closer look to make sure it really is junk. People stand to receive a nice surprise when they discover they own something valuable and it?s worth a lot of money.

You may want to talk with a friend or family member that either currently works in, or did in the past, a financial position, so they can teach you how to manage your finances from their personal experiences. When one isn?t related to someone with such experience, friends and family who are simply good with money are also valuable resources.

Personal Finances

TIP! Always know when to file your income taxes with the IRS. Instead of waiting until the last minute, file your taxes as soon as possible to get your return even earlier than usual.

Don?t let your personal finances get to you, clear your head, and realize it is time for you to tackle the issues. The article has provided you with the information you need to get on the right track, so apply this information to your personal finances and you will make a difference.

Wall Street ends 2012 riding high on "cliff" deal optimism

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks closed out 2012 with their strongest day in more than a month, putting the S&P 500 up 13.4 percent for the year, as lawmakers in Washington closed in on a resolution to the "fiscal cliff" negotiations.

The S&P 500's gain for the year marks its best performance since 2009, as stocks navigated through debt crises in Europe and the United States that dominated the headlines. Still, with numerous issues involving budget talks unresolved, markets could still be open to a shock should the deal break down unexpectedly.

Fittingly, in the last session of the year, stocks bounced back and forth on the headlines out of Washington, as both President Barack Obama and Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell issued statements indicating a deal to avert the cliff was close.

"The worst news could have been the president coming out and saying, 'We don't have a deal and we've giving up,' and he didn't say that," said Ron Florance, managing director of investment strategy for Wells Fargo Private Bank, based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

"My personal skepticism, I don't trust anything out of Washington until it is signed, sealed and delivered, and it is not signed, sealed and delivered."

While a deal on the cliff is not yet official, investors may be ready to take on more risk next year in hopes of a greater reward.

McConnell said an agreement had been reached with Democrats on all of the tax issues in the potential deal, removing a large hurdle in the talks. An agreement is needed in order to avert a combination of tax hikes and spending cuts that many believe could push the U.S. economy into recession.

A source familiar with the matter said an emerging deal, if adopted by Congress and President Barack Obama, would raise $600 billion in revenue over the next 10 years by increasing tax rates for individuals making more than $400,000 and households earning above $450,000 annually.

Despite the uncertainty, the market encountered only occasional bouts of volatility this year. For the first time since 2006, the CBOE Volatility Index or VIX <.vix>, the market's favored indicator of anxiety, did not surpass the 30 level, a threshold that usually signals heightened worry among investors.

"Given all the threats in 2012, the VIX was relatively tranquil," said Bill Luby, the author of the VIX and More blog in San Francisco, citing the crises in Spain and Greece, along with constant intervention from the Federal Reserve.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.dji> gained 166.03 points, or 1.28 percent, to end at 13,104.14. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.spx> gained 23.76 points, or 1.69 percent, to finish at 1,426.19. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.ixic> gained 59.20 points, or 2.00 percent, to close at 3,019.51.

Monday's gains enabled the S&P 500 to snap a five-day losing streak, its longest skid since September.

The S&P 500 closed out 2012 with a 13.4 percent gain for the year, compared with a flat performance in 2011. The Dow rose 7.3 percent in 2012 and the Nasdaq climbed 15.9 percent.

Financials <.gspf> were the strongest of the S&P's 10 industry sectors this year, gaining more than 26 percent, led by Bank of America , which more than doubled in 2012, and was the best performer of the Dow industrials.

Of the S&P's 10 sectors, only defensively oriented utilities <.gspu> ended the year lower, falling 2.9 percent.

Gains in Apple Inc , the most valuable U.S. company, helped lift the Nasdaq. The stock rose 4.4 percent to $532.17, lifting the S&P information technology sector index <.gspt> up 2.2 percent. For the year, Apple rose 31.4 percent, ending with a market value of about $501.4 billion.

Each of the Dow's 30 components finished the session in positive territory, led by a 3.2 percent climb in Caterpillar Inc to $89.58.

Volume was modest, with about 6.06 billion shares traded on the New York Stock Exchange, the Nasdaq and the NYSE MKT, slightly below the daily average of 6.42 billion.

Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the NYSE by a ratio of 6 to 1, while on the Nasdaq, four stocks rose for every one that fell.
